The new Client Auto-Sync Customisation feature gives advisers more control over how their clients' data is synced with Xplan. There are two ways for advisers to maximise this feature:
1. Adviser-level Auto-Sync Customisation
By default, auto-syncing is turned on for all new clients. However, advisers can now turn off auto-syncing for all new clients at once. This can be helpful for advisers who want to manually manage their clients' data or who have clients who do not want automatic creation of new client information in Xplan.
Benefits:
1. Advisers can now flexibly turn on or turn off the auto-syncing with X-Plan depending on the advice process.
2. Advisers can save time by setting a default auto-syncing setting for all new clients. The set auto-syncing setting will apply when a new client is manually added using the “Add client” button, when a new client completes the Mini Fact Find through the “Mini Fact Find link”, or when a new client is pulled using the “Sync” function.
3. Advisers can now control the creation of client entries in Xplan, reducing the chances of duplicate Xplan client entries.
How to use the feature:
Step 1. Go to the “Adviser Setting” page.
Step 2. Click on the new “Integrations” tab.
Step 3. Adjust the auto-sync setting of the adviser account. By default, auto-syncing is automatically turned “On” for all clients. When the setting is set to “Off”, all newly added clients will not be automatically pushed to Xplan.
2. Client-level Auto-sync Customisation
This new feature allows advisers to adjust the auto-sync setting at the client level. This means that if auto-sync has been previously turned “off”, this new feature will allow the adviser to turn it “on” for specific clients only.
Benefits:
1. Advisers can now flexibly tailor the data flow to Xplan by choosing an auto-sync setting specific to the client needs and preferences.
2. Advisers now have more control by overriding the default settings directly within client pages of the adviser portal.
3. Advisers can now preserve data privacy of client’s sensitive information by controlling syncing.
4. Advisers can now customise and manage each client's Xplan syncing independently without affecting the auto-sync settings of other clients.
How to Use:
Step 1. Click on the client name from the adviser portal to navigate to the client’s page.
Step 2. Click on the "Fact Find" settings section from the menu in the upper panel.
Step 3: Choose “Integrations”.
Step 4: Choose Your Preference. Select "Off" to disable auto-sync for the client or "On" to enable it.
Step 5. Confirm and Save. Apply the chosen setting to override the default.
